Author's Comments

This is my favorite thing that I have written, so I'm adding personal analysis and linking it to my inversely themed poem, Hominoid.

: Personal Analysis :

This piece is about an android that only has a basic grasp of emotion. The android cannot feel or understand the love of these two people, and this makes it sad, turning it's vision blue, which it also does not understand. It realizes that, though it's thought processes are superior, it cannot compete existentially.

::Update 9-24-05::

I finally have a version of the recording that I'm totally happy with, and better yet, it's available online so my readers can appropriately hear, visualize, and read the poem. The file is available via the poem. Enjoy.

Thank you so much! I like to think I'm a little 'off'. I hope you agree. :D

It was pretty damn good. Interesting perspective, but yah it seemed a little " off" from your typical work that I have seen.

Maybe you trying to hard to make rhymes? As good as they were? lol

I'm rubber. You're glue. Whoever you are bounces off of me and sticks to you.
:iconbryianzum:
Yeah, the piece was intended for the picture :D. But the picture is me and a girl I know on top of a mountain in Pennsylvania.

Omg this is another fantastic poem!! :jawdrop: Really cool couplets, really perfect; you've managed to maintain the flow of the 'story' or of this little study and still introduce new, versatile word combinations which fit really well. :nod:
I love the idea of this too, machines looking at humans; and it's definately ironic in one sense at least, because machines obviously do not have emotions. :D

My two favourite couplets I think are To know that they will devise their own end
Almost brings feelings my circuits transcend

and
The existence of happiness and the pursuit thereof
Automaton, I’ll never grasp the concept of love
, even though the beat is a little inconsistent. :clap:
